Melissa Hofmann is our board-certified Nurse Practitioner. She was an ER nurse for most of her nursing career. Melissa began as a traveling nurse back in 2017, and appreciated working in some amazing hospitals, her favorite being Dels Children’s Hospital in Texas. After many years in the emergency room, Melissa went back to school and graduated from Chamberlain University with her Family Nurse Practitioner degree. She states, “I wanted to further my education and become a NP to deliver a higher level of patient care.” Melissa resides in Sperry, IA with her husband. Melissa stays very busy with her three kids and seven beautiful grandchildren with two more on the way! If she is not with her family or caring for her patients, Melissa enjoys running and completing marathons, along with being on the beach and kayaking. We value Melissa’s hard work ethic, passion and kindness. We are very excited to have her be a part of our Fort Madison clinic.
